To be perfectly honest, I’ll be damned.
I just found out some of my previous Comic Con posts from 2013 forward are still stored on my old Blogspot site. Now I just need to find a way to port them here … which may mean shelling out the geld for the premium membership to allow for additional pages … or maybe there’s another way? I’ll actually have to do some frickin’ research. Anyway, June was an eventful month where I joined my family on a much needed vacation trip, then promptly caught a stomach virus that took me out for 4 days, then laryngitis, then bronchitis with the requisite sinusitis, then weeks of post-bronchial coughing spasms that have made my life a living hell, let alone stressing out the rest of my fam. Thus, I have missed out on posting a few Comic Con-related material and now realize that I’l be there (health providing) in 5 short days. So, my plan is to get back on track, mine some of my old material, and then prepare for some new material. I hope to be able to expand on my interviewing angle from a couple of years ago and, this time, really post the results here. I flaked out on a couple reviews and I feel pretty bad about that. I promise to make up for it though this year. Now, for San Diego Comic Con 2017, Saturday is the only Hall H I hope to attend, but then again so will about fifteen thousand other fans so I’ll have my work cut out for me. My brother and I will roll the die and see where they lay. If not, Saturday is a fantastic cosplay photo day, so I’ll be on the hunt for creative costumes and getting the stories behind the people and the ideas. I really enjoyed doing that last year, more than just taking the photos. It was really cool seeing where some of these fans came from: some were family projects, others were semi-professional costumers, and still others were just passionate fans that found a workable solution to an otherwise difficult task. And perhaps this year I’ll also get to speak with a few international cosplayers, get their stories and post them here. As you can see, I have a game plan, and unless I’m coughing up a storm, you’ll see the results here within a day, or two at most, of the actual happening. Yup, I’m going to have to bring my laptop with me to capture all of these blogs and writings. Since my brothers is starting to do pod casts, I wonder if I might be able to get him to film a couple of these cosplayer interviews …? Hmm… That’s all for now. From me to you, Be Excellent To Each Other

I have recently attended the Asia Pop Comic Con in the Philippines. It was such a great event because I was able to meet the stars of Stranger Things and Teen Wolf. I am such a big fan of those two TV shows and being able to meet its casts are the best thing that has ever happened to me this year. I am such a lucky girl to be able to meet my idols! Not everyone has the opportunity that I had. I hope they will visit my country soon so that I can meet other casts too.

One other reason why it's better to choose God over anything and everything else is that He is everywhere. We don't need to look for certain churches, talk to specific religious people or whoever celebrity is out there claiming they are the only one who can preach about God and their group is the only one who will be saved. God is here I am where I am sitting. I am not saying He is here so you should all come to me too. Close your eyes and look inside your heart. God is there.

We need to have the discipline not just to avoid animal products but to also keep reminding us to know by heart why we are doing all of these in the first place. All these creatures have the same right same with us to live and let live. They have a natural lifespan and they must glide through it. We should not be the one to cut it out short for them just because we are claiming that this is what can save us or make us healthy. I would rather be sick than believe this is true.

AuthorWith a couple of degrees under my belt, I have chosen to pursue writing after working in the private sector for many years. It is so refreshing to see how poorly I've retained rules of grammar and other tools of the trade. Good luck reading my blogs. Archives
